Hi! I’m Tomaiya, daughter of the Most High King… the best way I could ever think of describing myself.

I grew up in Newnan, GA, but I’ve spent 4 years in Rome (Berry College) getting a Bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting with a Social Entrepreneurship minor and a year in Athens (UGA) currently working on a Master’s in Nonprofit Management and Leadership.

I’ve had the pleasure of being a Bonner Scholar, volunteer with the William S. Davies Shelter, Volunteer Intern with A Place at the Table, and most recently, Graduate Assistant for The Campus Kitchen at UGA.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved being in the kitchen. I used to watch The Food Network channel and write down recipes every chance I got.

I originally created my at-home baking business She Baked It! in 2017 as a way to fundraise for my high school ASL classes. And now, I have a cottage food license and use it as a way to fundraise for There’s More :).

My passion for baking/cooking has been deeply rooted in knowing that the things I cook have the power to brighten up someone’s day. Whether it has been stir-frys and lomein at Tin Drum, decorated Paw Patrol cookies for a six-year-olds birthday, a warm bowl of Chicken Gnocchi soup for my friend with gluten and dairy intolerances (that’s how yummy it is), or a gooey Carmelita that was deemed the reason for why one of my customers is gonna have back rolls (lol), I have enjoyed it all and will enjoy the opportunity for TMSK to invoke this feeling of joy to our neighbors that choose to dine with us soon.

If I’ve held on to one truth throughout my life, it’s that God has been my Provider! Yes, I’ve worked hard toward many things, but as Scripture says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” I could have never done any of it, if God had not had His hand on my life. My awesome family, both relative and friends, have also helped to keep me whole in this season of my life. Building a nonprofit is no easy feat, but I thank God for the all the ups as well as all the downs. Learning is something that I plan to never stop doing.

If you’ve gotten to the end of my introduction, I invite you to connect with me and stay up to date with all things TMSK! We are hoping to have wheels rolling by the end of 2026 and are currently fundraising for our food truck! If you can, I would appreciate your donation. But if not, could you pray for me to continue to live out Matthew 6:33, to be bold in loving my neighbors well, and for TMSK to receive the seed funding that we need to launch the beginnings of our nonprofit.

If you are interested in helping us spread the word, sharing our LinkTree with your friends and family and mentioning us in conversation with your neighbors would be extremely helpful. Thank you for any way that you choose to support our mission! I am grateful and appreciate it so much!

TMSK is More Than a Place to Eat — A Place Where Strangers Become Neighbors. #BEKIND!
